St Georges Chapel — Windsor. Bronze Handrail

We won a competitive tender to manufacture new wrought iron railings and a cast bronze handrail for St Georges Chapel.

This project was for a new ramp inside the chapel. We used the traditional techniques of skilled craftsman on this project. We formed a steel sub-frame which we sent to the joinery company for them to form and then cover in wood both the steps and ramp whilst we formed the handrails. Our iron work was left in its natural state and a specialist painter highlighted some of the detail. The two elements were brought together on site. We also provided the brass anti slip nosing to the step edges.
