Cartier of New Bond Street, London

As well as completing the manufacture of new security gates, we also restored the cast iron main window balustrade, entrance step handrails and delicate cast iron radiator pipe covers (skirting).

Large stainless steel and bronze security gates, copies of original New Bond Street side, art deco style originals, tailored to fit the newly improved Albemarle Street entrance as part of a complete refit and extension of the iconic, turn-of-the-century, Mayfair store.

The refit included the complete restoration of a late-Victorian gilded cast iron balustrade mounted under the store main window and restoration and modification of the adjacent bronze capped wrought iron entrance handrails.

At a late stage in the project, Topp & Co were asked to restore the gilding to the facade of the Albemarle Street storefront and repair and restore the original delicate skirting-cum-covers to the original Edwardian heating system pipes to become a feature of the revamped showrooms.
