Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford

During 2008 and into 2009 the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford under went major refurbishment with the help of the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The 1960s exhibition gallery at the entrance to the Museum was dismantled, restoring the original view through to the Museum’s spectacular totem pole on the far wall.  The revised layout of the museum required two additional 14ft high cast iron columns to be made to match those already in place. We took on the work, a challenging a interesting task to make, transport and manoeuvre these 650kg columns into place inside a building.
